Behind every clinical trial is a team of people working together to improve cancer prevention, treatment, and care. Across the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology, researchers, clinicians, statisticians, data experts, regulatory professionals, operations teams, and other specialists contribute their expertise to a shared mission: reducing the impact of cancer on people.

The Alliance is a National Cancer Institute-sponsored clinical trials network that brings together more than 26,000 cancer specialists at 112 main institutions and 1,400 affiliates across the U.S. and Canada. Our work is supported by a distributed network of offices, research centers, and affiliated organizations, creating opportunities to contribute to cancer research in a range of scientific, operational, and administrative roles.
Where we work
The Alliance’s work is supported by a network of offices, research centers, and affiliated organizations across the United States, including:
- Alliance Operations Center — Chicago and Boston: The Alliance Operations Center supports Alliance leadership, finance, Foundation activities, protocol development, regulatory affairs, and administrative operations. The Chicago office houses protocol development, regulatory affairs, administrative operations, and Foundation activities, while the Boston office supports Alliance Foundation Trials (AFT) and the Alliance Data Innovation Lab.
- Alliance Statistics and Data Center — Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota: The Alliance Statistics and Data Center provides statistical and data management expertise supporting Alliance clinical trials.
- Alliance Biorepositories: Supports the collection, management, and research use of biospecimens at locations across the United States.
The Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology Foundation supports the Alliance’s mission by advancing innovative research, investigator development, and philanthropic engagement. The Foundation also serves as the employer for individuals working in support of the Alliance’s clinical research and operations.
