Program structure
Alliance programs and committees function as a unified system where scientific ideas are generated, refined, and translated into clinical trials. Committees serve as the source of scientific concepts and collaborative review, while programs provide the methodological, operational, and scientific infrastructure needed to transform those concepts into rigorously designed studies.
The Cancer Control Program develops research focused on prevention, survivorship, health outcomes, access, and delivery of care across various populations. It includes the Cancer Care Delivery Research; Cancer in the Older Adult; Community Oncology, Populations, Education, Access, and Research (PEAR); Health Outcomes; Prevention; and Symptom Intervention Committees.
The Central ProtocoCentral Protocol Operations Programl Operations Program supports protocol development, regulatory coordination, and trial implementation across the research network, and provides oversight for the Data Sharing Committee.
The Procedure-Based Therapy Program advances clinical research in surgery, radiation oncology, interventional oncology, and other procedure-based approaches to treat cancer. This program includes the Interventional Oncology Working Group and the Imaging, Radiation Oncology, and Surgery Committees.
The Statistics and Data Management Program provides the statistical design, data coordination, and analytical foundation that ensure rigor and reproducibility across all clinical trials.
The Translational Research Program integrates molecular science, biomarkers, and biospecimen resources into clinical research, strengthening the connection between biological discovery and clinical application. It includes the Biorepository, Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Pharmacogenomics and Population Pharmacology, and Translational Bioinformatics Committees.
