The Alliance offers pilot project funding to support Cancer Care Delivery Research (CCDR) projects that generate preliminary data to inform the development of future Alliance CCDR studies for submission to the NCI Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP) network.
Supporting preliminary research
The Alliance CCDR Committee is particularly interested in projects focused on:
- Patient out-of-pocket costs, financial toxicity for patients and caregivers, and financial counseling
- Implementation of patient-reported outcomes into routine care delivery
- Practice-level changes that improve cancer care delivery, including:
- Implementation of survivorship care plans
- Models for coordination of care
- Surgical cancer care processes
Who is eligible?
Funding is available through the Alliance NCORP Research Base grant, supported by the NCI Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences (DCCPS). Pilot projects must be designed for completion within one year. Applicants and their respective institutions must be Alliance members and members of the Alliance CCDR Committee.
