Group meetings for the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology bring together members, investigators, clinical research professionals, patient partners, and collaborators to share research progress, exchange ideas, and strengthen the partnerships that drive advances in cancer clinical research.
We typically hold two major Group meetings each year, in the spring and fall, generally in May and November. Meetings are open to Alliance members and industry representatives and provide opportunities to connect with colleagues across the Alliance research network.
What to expect
Group meetings feature a range of scientific, educational, and networking opportunities, including:
- Committee meetings: This is where Alliance members discuss research priorities, study concepts, and ongoing clinical trials. Committees may hold open or closed sessions based on their needs.
- Educational sessions: Educational topics are always relevant to cancer research, with many sessions designed for nurses, clinical research professionals, and other members of the clinical research team.
- Plenary sessions: At the plenary session, we highlight the more important Alliance research and priorities, led by the Group Chair.
- Networking opportunities: We hold events that bring together investigators, research professionals, patient partners, and collaborators from across the Alliance to meet and share insight.
Together, these meetings provide a forum to share accomplishments, develop new collaborations, and advance the Alliance’s research agenda.
Industry sponsorship and exhibiting
Industry partners play an important role in supporting the Alliance’s research community and may participate in Group meetings through sponsorship and exhibition opportunities. Exhibitors and sponsors can connect with Alliance investigators and research professionals, learn about the latest developments in clinical research, and share information about products, services, and technologies relevant to cancer research and clinical trial operations.
