Bringing a new cancer treatment idea to the Alliance
The Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology welcomes innovative research concepts that have the potential to improve cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and/or care delivery. Investigators with promising ideas are encouraged to engage with us early in the development process to ensure concepts align with scientific priorities and available research resources.
Active Alliance members should submit concepts through the Alliance Member Website, where detailed guidance, submission requirements, and internal review processes are available in the Protocol section.

Researchers who are not currently Alliance members are welcome to submit new study concepts by following the process below.
Connect with the appropriate scientific committee
Before preparing a formal submission, investigators are encouraged to discuss their concept with the leadership of the appropriate Alliance disease or scientific committee. Early consultation helps ensure the proposal aligns with current research priorities and identifies opportunities for collaboration. Prepare your submission
The Alliance works closely with the National Cancer Institute to develop and conduct clinical trials, Investigators should complete the appropriate NCI concept submission form, along wit the required Alliance Conflict of Interest documentation.
Required materials include:
- NCI Letter of Intent (LOI) or NCI Phase II/III Concept Submission Form:

Submit your concept
Submitted concepts undergo scientific review by the appropriate Alliance committees to evaluate their scientific merit, feasibility, alignment with Alliance priorities, and potential to improve cancer care.
